THE FABRIC LAB
Two fabrics. Nothing to hide.
Every BLKSH tee prints its full recipe — component by component, percent by percent. This is the lab: what each fibre is, why it's there, and what we left out on purpose.

Fibre 01 — Organic cotton · 95% of Midweight
Cotton grown without synthetic pesticides or fertilisers. It is the backbone of our Midweight: breathable, soft against the skin, and made to soften in — wash after wash — without losing its shape.
Fibre 02 — Rayon of bamboo · 66% of Heavyweight
Bamboo, turned into fibre. Bamboo pulp is dissolved and re-spun into rayon — that is what gives our Heavyweight its fluid drape, its smooth hand, and the way it feels cool the moment you put it on.
Fibre 03 — Cotton · 27% of Heavyweight
The structure. Cotton gives the bamboo rayon its backbone — strength, stability, and a fabric that keeps its line instead of collapsing.
Fibre 04 — Elastane · 5% of Midweight · 7% of Heavyweight
The quiet worker. A small measure of elastane lets the fabric move with you and spring back — it is why the collar sits flat, and why the fit you buy is the fit you keep.
What's not in your tee: polyester.
Most fast-fashion tees are polyester, or cut with it. Polyester is plastic — spun from petroleum. It holds heat against your skin, holds odour, and sheds tiny plastic fibres into the water every time it is washed. Both BLKSH fabrics contain 0% polyester. The rest — cotton, rayon of bamboo, and a measure of elastane for stretch — is declared, to the percent, on every tee.
- No polyester.
- No polyester fibres spun into the cloth.
- No mystery blends — the full composition is printed on every product page.
GSM, in plain words.
GSM is grams per square metre — the weight of the cloth. 210 feels light and easy: a tee that breathes. 300 feels dense and deliberate: a tee with presence. Neither is better. They are two answers to two different days.
The wrinkle test.
Crumpled, shaken out, worn. Watch the Heavyweight spring back.
Care for it like it matters.
- Wash cold, inside out — it protects the fibres and the finish.
- Skip the hard spin and the hot dryer — air drying keeps the shape and the hand-feel.
- Fold it, or hang it by the body — the collar keeps its line.
A fabric cared for this way lasts years, not a season.
You know the fabric. Now find your fit.
Two fits — Regular and Oversize — in both fabrics. Three questions, and the Fit Guide points you to yours.
